You might not think of Jeff Bingaman as the funniest guy in the U.S. Senate.But apparently New Mexico's outgoing senior senatot will appear night on Comedy Central -- The Colbert Report to be exact.
It was on the Senate Energy & Natural Resources news release about committee assignments.
(... catch Chairman Bingaman tonight on The Colbert Report, airing on Comedy Central at 11:30 pm EST. Really.)
Colbert is conducting a mock campaign to get appointed to South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint's seat. My source suspects Bingaman will be talking about what it takes to be a senator.
