Death Penalty Bill in Senate Today?

Senate Majority Leader Michael Sanchez just dropped by the newsroom hinting that HB285 would be heard on the Senate floor today.

I just spoke with bill sponsor Rep. Gail Chasey who said she doesn't know. The item is on the Senate calendar, but it might be heard Friday.
